Installation

Our technicians will professionally install your service for $99 plus microwave radio: $389.00, plus any additional equipment costs.  This includes connection to up to three PCs located in the same room.  All extra cabling, network switches and other needed hardware for all PCs are at additional cost.  Each PC is required to have an Ethernet card installed.  Since this is an "always on" internet connection, we also recommend a firewall.  We can also install a hardware firewall or you can install your own personal hardware or software firewall.  Proper Anti-Virus and SpyWare  protection is HIGHLY recommended on all computers connected to the Internet.  Gilpingold is NOT responsible, as an example, for ANY breach of security, Virus or SpyWare infection, of your computer system .

What is an Alias Email Address?

There are two different types of email addresses. Primary addresses are what you presently use. Someone sends an email to you at yourname@gilpingold.com. An "alias" is another email address that is received by a primary email address into its account. For example, you can have yourname@gilpingold.com as your primary address but you also may want an address to give out when requesting information over the internet: secondname@gilpingold.com. When retrieving your email, you simply retrieve your primary email and all the aliases come in with it.

You don't have to request your email for each alias account. This is great as an additional address. When requesting information over the internet, give this "other" address.

The internet has a habit of sharing email addresses. Suddenly you've got Spam, unsolicited email from sites. Giving out a second address saves you from the "Horrors of Spam". Simply change your second (alias) email address and the Spam goes away. In reality for example, the Platinum package has 20 different email addresses for you to use.

Anti-Virus

All packages come with email anti-virus scanning. This stops almost 100% of all email viruses. It is HIGHLY recommended that you have a proper anti-virus program installed on all computers. GilpinGold is not responsible for ANY viruses, worms, etc. infecting your computer(s) and ANY loss of data.

Personal Firewall

You are REQUIRED to have some sort of personal firewall installed on your computer(s).  This is for YOUR protection. Gilpingold is NOT responsible, as an example, for ANY breach of security, Virus or SpyWare infection, of your computer system .

Web-Email

All accounts and packages come with FREE web email. Access and send email from anywhere in the world via a web browser.

Personal Web Space

All Residential packages come with FREE Personal Web Space. Just imagine, your own website for all to see.  This can also be used for your small home business site.  All URL addresses are:  "your_website_name.mygilpingold.net".  Have your own domain name.  Ask us about hosting it.

Domain Registration

You'd like your own domain name.  Simple!  Please ask us to register it for you.  Our special pricing is $12.50 /yr per domain, NO limit - for: .biz, .info, .net, .org and .com.   "Dot" name domains are $10.25 /yr per domain.  Ask us about other "dot" domain extensions.  Presently available are: agent, club, inc, love, scifi, travel, arts, family, kids, ltd, shop, video, action, free, law, med, soc, xxx, chat, game, llc, mp3, sport, church, golf, llp, school and tech.   You do not have to be a GilpinGold member to take advantage of these specials.  Tell all your friends!!!!

Payment Terms

Access charges are per calendar month.  All new GilpinGold members will be billed for their equipment, installation and access charges, in full, immediately after installation.  All members must furnish a valid credit card, which we will keep on file for us to charge your monthly fee against.  Monthly payments will automatically be billed on the first of the month for that month's services.  OR, you can pre-pay a full year for 10% off.  A paid-in-full invoice will be emailed to you.  If you require a paper invoice to be mailed, there will be an additional $2 charge per invoice, per month.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card.
